This is a classic itinerary that will take you into the heart of the Inca Empire, exploring the impressive sites of Sacsayhuaman and other sites around the city of Cusco, such as Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley, before reaching Machu Picchu. You will then continue to the city of Puno, located on the Altiplano, or high plateau, a vast tableland lying at an average altitude of 12,124 ft above sea level and on the shores of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. This area is the ancestral territory of the Quechuas, Aymaras, Uros, Pacajes and Puquinas. This journey will take you from Cusco to Puno by bus so you can explore picturesque towns of Andahuaylillas, Raqchi, Raya and Pucara.

During the trip you will also have the opportunity to visit the Colca Canyon, the deepest Canyon in the world where you may have the opportunity to spot Condors and enjoy the beautiful sceneries.

Thousands of pilgrims visit the Virgin of Copacabana every year, also known as the Colored Virgin and the Virgin of the Lake. Next, you will board a cruise that will take you to the Sun Island or “Isla del Sol”, the most enigmatic place of the Titikaka Lake.
